Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Specialized IT Consultant. As a Specialized IT Consultant where you have experience in data processes, leveraging deep expertise in Microsoft Azure Data Factory and related tools. Join us in driving innovation and excellence in data integration within the public sector landscape.
Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.
Must Haves:
Demonstrated deep Microsoft stack experience, with at least 4 years in Microsoft Azure Data Factory.
Proficiency in Azure services including Data Factory, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI.
Experience in migration from Cognos/Informatica to Power BI solutions.
Design and implementation of interactive reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
Knowledge of Microsoft DevOps and Azure Data Factory components.
Criteria:
Development:
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
Develop ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Design and implement interactive reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
Design/Architecture:
Ensure data quality and governance practices.
Guide architecture leveraging Azure cloud services.
Design and implement data integration solutions on Azure platform.
Create architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
Data Modeling:
Design experience with star and snowflake schemas.
Utilize tools like Erwin Data Modeler for data models.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services.
Strong knowledge of data integration techniques and ETL processes.
Familiarity with database management and SQL Server environments.
Public Sector Experience:
Previous experience in an organization of similar size or complexity to Ontario Public Service.
