Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Technology Architect. As a Technology Architect where you have experience cyber and network security, ideally within Ontario K-12 school boards. Proficiency in next-gen technologies like AI/ML, SIEM, and EPP/EDR/XDR is essential. Coordination expertise, industry certifications (CEH, CISSP, CISM), and public sector familiarity are highly valued. Join us to safeguard and modernize educational networks.

Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Must Have

  • Cyber Security and Network Security

    • 4+ years of hands-on experience with cyber security, network security, and network protection solutions and technologies, preferably for Ontario K-12 school boards, including:

    • Next-generation cyber security technologies leveraging AI and ML

    • SIEM such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, AlienVault, and FortiSiem

    • Endpoint protection (EPP), EDR, XDR, and other endpoint security solutions

    • Identity Management (IdM) and identity security

    • Incident Management (IM)

    • 4+ years’ hands-on experience with authentication solutions and technologies, preferably for Ontario K-12 school boards

  • Network Technology

    • 2+ years’ hands-on experience with SDN, SD-WAN, especially with Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto, and Aruba, preferably for Ontario K-12 school boards

    • 2+ years’ hands-on experience in data monitoring and management systems, particularly SolarWinds, FortiManager, and Panorama, preferably for Ontario K-12 school boards

  • Strong communication skills demonstrated through:

    • 3+ years’ experience in preparing written materials

    • 3+ years’ of coordinating complex technical work with multiple IT teams

  • Industry Certifications / Relevant Degrees

    • Cyber security certification (e.g., CEH, CISSP, or CISM)

Nice-to-have

  • Public Sector Experience

    • 4+ years’ hands-on experience working with Ontario K-12 school boards, particularly with school board networks and network security

Criteria

  • Cyber Security and Network Security

    • 5+ years’ experience in network security on advanced SD networks, preferably for Ontario K-12 school boards

    • 4+ years of hands-on experience with various cyber security and network protection solutions and technologies, preferably for Ontario K-12 school boards

  • Network Technology

    • 2+ years’ hands-on experience with Ontario K-12 school boards’ networks

    • 2+ years’ hands-on experience with network data traffic awareness, monitoring, and analysis tools and technologies, preferably for Ontario K-12 school boards

  • Coordination Skills and Experience

    • 3+ years’ experience in effectively presenting to management teams and external stakeholders

  • Industry Certifications / Relevant Degrees

    • Cyber security certification (e.g., CEH, CISSP, or CISM)

  • Public Sector Experience

    • 4+ years’ hands-on experience working with Ontario K-12 school boards, particularly with school board networks and network security
