Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer for an onsite direct hire opportunity with our client Northwest of Chicago. The Cloud Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing Azure cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing Microsoft 365 best practices, managing hybrid Active Directory/Azure AD integration, and providing technical leadership to ensure seamless system operations. Your expertise will be essential in mentoring team members, designing and implementing systems, ensuring security and compliance, and optimizing system performance.
Pay/Salary Range: $110,000/$130,000 Annually.
Cloud System Engineer job responsibilities include:
· Administer and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure.
· Implement Microsoft 365 best practices, focusing on resource governance.
· Manage hybrid Active Directory/Azure AD integration, including Single Sign-On (SSO).
· Support M365 troubleshooting, provisioning, and policy deployment.
· Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based systems.
· Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate solutions effectively.
Leadership and Team Management:
· Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional growth and development.
· Provide technical leadership and support for team members.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
· 4+ years’ experience as a Systems and Cloud Engineer.
· Proficiency across core Microsoft Windows platforms, services, and tools.
· Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure & Private) and virtualization technologies.
· Experience leading a team or managing direct reports.
· Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and implementing security controls.
