Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst, where you have experience in user experiences for complex digital solutions, this role is for you. Join our dynamic team to lead Agile projects, utilizing your proficiency in industry-standard design tools and knowledge of web usability standards. Make an impact by creating elegant, effective designs aligned with Ontario's digital government standards.

Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Criteria:

  • Technical Skills:

    • Extensive experience in designing online user experiences for complex digital solutions.

    • Proficiency in Agile (SCRUM) methodologies, preferably with experience as a Scrum master.

    • Competence in industry-standard design tools like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Balsamiq, and InVision.

    • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

    • Familiarity with online collaboration tools such as MIRO, Confluence, Trello, Office 365, Google Drive, Zoom, Slack, and Teams.

    • Experience with backlog management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Pivotal Tracker.

    • Knowledge of content layout, typography design principles, and responsive web design.

    • Understanding of information architectures, taxonomies, and their relation to navigational design.

    • Proficiency in web usability and accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.0/2.1 Level A & AA.

    • Familiarity with usability and user-experience principles, methodologies, and techniques.

    • Knowledge of Ontario digital government standards.

  • People Skills:

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

    • Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

    • Excellent facilitation, presentation, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Capacity to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Strong leadership skills to provide guidance on user experience and design.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

    • Proficiency in design thinking and a user-centric mindset with attention to detail.

    • Creative and analytical approach to interaction design principles.

    • Ability to resolve issues promptly and provide recommendations.

    • Comfortable transforming ideas generated through user research into effective designs.

    • Understanding of business metrics and translating business goals into digital experiences.

    • Skill in prioritizing change requests and guiding the team in addressing them.

    • Strong research skills for industry research and solution improvement recommendations.
