Senior - Software Developer - ETL

Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Software Developer - ETL. As a Software Developer - ETL where you have experience in data conversion and migration, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing our systems. Bring your expertise in ETL tools, cloud technologies, and communication skills to drive impactful change in our organization.

Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Must-Haves:

• Extensive experience in:

  • Data migration for digital transformation, including ETL proficiency in transitioning data from legacy systems to modern solutions.

  • Utilizing ETL tools like Azure Data Factory, Informatica, etc.

  • Migrating document attachments to contemporary solutions.

  • Working with cloud DB technologies like Azure SQL.

• Demonstrated Knowledge and Experience:

  • Development of business cases and migration strategies.

  • Understanding of Information Management principles.

  • Proficiency in master and transactional data concepts.

  • Experience in overseeing conversion processes.

  • Familiarity with case management data models.

  • Handling document migration tasks.

Criteria:

• Data Knowledge Expertise Skills:

  • Significant experience in data conversion and migration.

  • Full life-cycle conversion experience, including deployment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Liaison experience for migration requirements understanding.

  • Knowledge of Information Management principles.

  • Support provision during cutover processes.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in leading ETL tools and cloud technologies.

  • Expertise in query languages and complex SQL construction.

  • Knowledge of various database structures and RDMS.

  • Understanding of mainframe data formats and non-relational structures.

  • Experience with data conversion scripts and tools.

  • Proficiency in file migration from diverse storages.

• Communication Skills:

  • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Regular status reporting and presentation skills for stakeholders.

• Public Sector Experience:

  • Previous involvement in Government or Public Sector organizations.
