Security and Firewall experience (mandatory)
- Policy management and configuration (mandatory)
- Cisco ASA/FPR experience (desirable)
- Fortinet experience (desirable)
Architecture
- DC topologies - design experience (desirable)
- SMPTE standards (desirable)
Routing / Switching technologies:
- OSPF, MP-BGP (mandatory)
- BGP policies and route manipulation (mandatory)
- EVPN, VxLAN (desirable)
- Cisco Nexus 9000 experience (desirable)
- Multicast concepts (mandatory)
- Advanced multicast design and troubleshooting (desirable) e.g.
- SSM vs ASM
- RPs, MSDP, IGMP, PIM
Hardware knowledge
- Hardware selection experience e.g. BOM preparation (desirable)
- Knowledge of various DC hardware / cabling standards (desirable)
- Knowledge of different SFP formats and cabling requirements (mandatory)
Automation
- Ansible Playbooks - experience writing and executing (desirable)
- Linux CLI/bash (desirable)
- Python coding (desirable)
Documentation
- HLD / LLD preparation (mandatory)
- Diagramming (mandatory)
