About the role

In the position of Senior OT Engineer, you will hold a pivotal role in furnishing engineering project services essential for supporting the planning and execution of Operational Technology (OT) systems. Your primary function will be to serve as a technical authority, providing OT expertise to project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects at the desired standard of quality.

You will collaborate closely within project teams, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective planning and implementation of projects involving OT assets. Your duties will encompass conducting investigations, option analyses, preliminary and detailed designs, design reviews, testing, and commissioning, all aimed at ensuring the excellence of OT projects and a smooth transition from project phase to operational phase.

Key responsibilities:

  • Offer expert OT technical guidance to digital and capital delivery project teams, including minor works.
  • Take charge of leading and overseeing OT projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve smooth integration of OT solutions with current infrastructure.
  • Deploy preventive maintenance programs and strategies to bolster the reliability of OT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive favorable project outcomes that ensure safe and efficient plant operation in alignment with established procedures.
  • Generate thorough documentation for OT systems, encompassing technical specifications, configurations, and troubleshooting protocols.

Qualifications and experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
  • Proficiency in building relationships and effective communication within project frameworks.
  • Extensive background in OT Engineering positions, particularly with emphasis on industrial control systems and SCADA systems.
  • Currently active RPEQ registration in a relevant discipline
  • Valid 'C' class driver's license.

Preferences:

  • Experience in the water industry, particularly in water treatment and supply processes and assets.
