As a team member, you'll follow our Data Science Blueprint and collaborate with domain experts and business stakeholders to define data-related problems and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define data-related problems and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Analyse data using statistics, visualization, and hypothesis testing.
  • Implement machine learning and deep learning models.
  • Optimize and evaluate model performance.
  • Deploy and maintain data pipelines and models in production.
  • Communicate analysis results to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Write clear code documentation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Data Science: Ability to identify opportunities for applying statistical and machine learning techniques and implementing solutions using Python/R in established frameworks.
  • Data Analysis: Derive business intelligence through SQL, Power BI, or Python exploration of curated business data and communicate findings persuasively through data visualization.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently in uncertain environments and collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Relevant technologies: Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Server
  • Familiarity with Australia's biosecurity and cargo pathways
  • Familiarity with Australia's exports systems
